Dylan Strecker
President

Dylan is a Director of Advisory Solutions at Lumeris where he collaborates with Health Systems and Payors to successfully navigate Value Based Care (VBC). Dylan believes the three most important factors in VBC are physician engagement, aligned incentives, and robust analytics & informatics.

Dylan has supported projects ranging from Health Information Exchange implementation to development of Outpatient Joint Replacement Centers. In his current role, Dylan partners with organizations to stand-up Medicare Advantage Plans and Population Health Services Organizations.

Dylan holds advanced degrees in both Healthcare Information Science and Healthcare Administration from the University of Missouri – School of Medicine.

Lastly, Dylan has been a HIMSS Member since 2013. He actively engages the HIMSS community through volunteer work and speaking engagements both nationally and locally. Dylan also served as past Secretary for the Washington State HIMSS Chapter.

 

Gwen O’Keefe, MD

Gwen O’Keefe, MD is the leader of GO Healthcare Strategy, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations across healthcare use data, analytics and technology in a pragmatic and sustainable ways.   She’s also a practicing physician, board certified in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics, and seasoned healthcare technology and operations leader. 

Recent leadership roles include:

  • Chief Medical Officer, Qliance Medical Management

  • Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Vice President of Analytics at Group Health Cooperative (now Kaiser Washington)

  • Medical Director and Assistant Professor at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

  • Other roles have covered the gamut of healthcare from academic practice to startups to pharmacy benefit management and analytics. 

She serves as Faculty for the International Institute for Analytics, and is Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington.  

Gwen received her MD from the State University of New York, Brooklyn NY and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia- Presbyterian Hospital. 

Emily Jacobsen

Emily Jacobsen, PMP, is an experienced program director with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. She has strong professional skills in Healthcare Consulting, Software Implementation, Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) and formal project management. Emily has spent her career working with Healthcare organizations across the country and internationally to utilize their EHR to meet their business needs as well as the needs of patients and providers.

 

In Emily's current role at Bluetree Network, she partners with healthcare organizations across the western US to evaluate their use of Epic and problem solve ways to make the system work better for them. Prior to her current role, Emily developed her passion for HIT and improving patients lives through access to clinical information at Epic Systems. Emily also served as the Epic Clinical Program manager during Overlake Hospitals Epic implementation and later became the Epic program director. Emily worked at the UW as the implementation supervisor during their role out of Epic to their ambulatory clinics.

 

Kelly Nettle, RN-BC, MS

Kelly Nettle RN-BC, MS, has over 30 years of nursing experience and currently works for UW Medicine/Northwest Hospital & Medical Center as a Clinical Workflow Designer. In her current role Kelly designs electronic workflows and rules in the EMR incorporating current healthcare trends in technology for Meaningful Use, HIPAA, TJC, and national regulatory guidelines that impact the workflow and processes for the clinicians. Kelly's passion is being an advocate and champion for providers, clinicians, and end-users, creating a bridge between IT and end-users to increased staff confidence and engagement in technology.

Kelly’s educational background is a BSN with a Master of Science in Clinical Informatics with a Nursing Informatics Board Certification. Before joining UW Medicine Kelly worked as a consultant for a variety of healthcare technology implementations, was a Director of Clinical Informatics, Director of Pre/Post-operative services, as well as bedside nursing in Emergency services, and Peri-operative services.

 

Chad Hiner, RN, MS

Chad Hiner RN, MS, is the Director of healthcare industry solutions for nVoq, Inc. He works with nVoq partners and customers developing voice-enabled use cases, providing the clinician perspective for EHR, mobile forms and other applications. He also plays a major role in validation and prioritization of market-driven product requirements.

Before joining nVoq, Chad spent 15 years working in clinical environments, including: an Army Combat Support Hospital (CSH), a bone-marrow and stem-cell transplant unit and a trauma surgical intensive care unit. He has been involved in a variety of health IT implementations, and previously worked as a clinical operations and workflow analyst for a level-one trauma and academic medical center. He is published in the “American Journal of Critical Care Nursing,” presented at the University Health System Consortium (UHC) Annual Conference, and participated in the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase for five years.

 

Artina Mitchell

Artina has 25 years of experience in sales and business development and spent the last 10 specializing in HIT. She’s also owned, operated and sold two successful businesses and received her Bachelors in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2009. She currently works at Zones as an award winning healthcare account executive where she consults, designs and delivers technology solutions to healthcare organizations in the PNW. Artina specializes in MHealth, Datacenter, Networking and Software but her true skill is the ability to solve complex business issues. She believes this skill came from her diverse background and raising three boys on her own where problem solving, crisis management, communication, creativity, financial management and negotiation skills were essential to survival. She is a perpetual listener, student, collaborator and adviser who believes that success is a result of what you do, not what you have and she will use all she has to create awareness, overcome challenges and help herself and others obtain results. Yes, she has a few war stories and is never ashamed to share, so go ahead, ask. 

 

Dwayne Neufeld

Dwayne Neufeld brings a passion for technology, problem solving and working with people. For over 25 years, he has started companies, led sales teams and served on boards - all with the goal of solving problems in innovative ways by leveraging people and technology.  He currently works on the NW Healthcare team for Databank and Kyocera providing solutions that simplify business processes for better health outcomes.  He serves regularly at a Homeless shelter and his local church.  When not working he is cooking, kayaking, jogging and generally enjoying the Northwest with his wife of 26 years, 2 dogs, 4 kids and one grandson.  

“As Program Chair my goal is to provide programs that will educate and inspire you in new ways - to blend technology and information to better serve your clients.  To do this I need your help with ideas, desires and possibly as a volunteer – reach out to start a conversation!”

 

Kailey Tollefson

Kailey has over 10 years of experience in healthcare IT. She currently is a Client Engagement Manager at Xeatlh, where she helps health care systems develop at implement digital health strategies. Previously, Kailey supported the implementation of electronic medical records and patient portals at UW Medicine, Valley Medical Center, and Providence St. Joseph Health.

 

In 2013, Kailey received her Masters of Science at the University of Washington School of Nursing through the Clinical Informatics and Patient Centered Technology (CIPCT) program. She began volunteering for the national HIMSS conference as a student, and joined the Washington HIMSS Board in 2016 as the Emerging Professionals chair. Several of her passions include bringing people together in networking events (she started the "Emerging Technologies" events) and mentoring new graduates.

 

David Porter

David Porter is an executive at Medasource, a consulting firm focused on leading large healthcare organizations through complex software installs and assisting with the set up and implementation of Digital Health, Population Health, and Telehealth strategies. Currently, David oversees Medasource’s strategy and operations for the western half of the U.S.

Recent leadership roles include:

• Director of Midwest Operations & Strategy – Medasource Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Chicago Regions

David has almost a decade of experience in Health Information Technology. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

Erika Hjalseth, RN, MS

Erika Hjalseth RN, MS, is a Clinical Performance Nurse with Sound Physicians. She works with the Hospitalist Team at Good Samaritan Hospital focusing on quality and process improvement. She also applies data analytics skills to improve performance metrics, and partner with hospital leadership to works towards organizational goals. Prior to this position, Erika spent 7 years working in the clinical setting as a nurse, including: inpatient and emergency behavioral health, inpatient acute medical rehab, and outpatient oncology. 

 

Chan Phouthavong

Chan Phouthavong is an executive and serial entrepreneur with over 15 years experience in the Healthcare & IT industry. He has deep experience in helping organizations with strategy in expanding and growing their IT workforce. Chan has worked with and supported the major payers and providers here in the state of Washington with various project implementations and mandates.
